What is normally selected in the “Builders
Pre-Start Consultation?”

During your consultation we will either use the nominated building products that are allowed for in your contract or if you prefer to add your own individual touches these additional selections can be included. At the initial appointment these items will be discussed.

Kitchen bench tops, either from granite, corian, stainless steel or the Laminex range.

Kitchen cabinets and the finish you might like
eg. Laminex or timber.
Kitchen hardware, appliances, fittings, glass splash backs and tiling.
Bathroom tiling, fittings and cabinet selections.
Laundry cabinets, fittings and wall /floor tiling.
External selections include the roof cover, bricks, window frames, paint colours and brick paving styles.
Internal flooring selections, tiles, timber flooring and carpets.
Samples of your paint, tiles, flooring and cabinet materials are provided where possible.

What do I have to do before our meeting?

Please consider the overall style you would like to create in your new home. If you can please have on hand any samples or décor items that will feature in the home. Prior to the meeting a copy of your working drawings and selection allowances would be helpful and this will ensure that enough time has been allowed for and we are prepared for the meeting.

When do I have to pay?

Full payment is requested on the first appointment.

If you are considering building in the future and would like to book an appointment in advance a booking fee of $50 is required.
We are currently taking bookings up to 12 months in advance due to the demand in the building industry.

Small to medium projects :

Ideal for home renovators that are looking for a quick make over. We are happy to consider one room or the whole house.

Consultation fee:

$110 per hour for both on site and in-store consultations.

Additional time is charged in 15- minute increments.

A minimum charge of $110 applies.

If a site requires travel over 20kms from the city centre an additional $35.00 is charged.

Larger Projects:

Ideal for the new home builder and property developers where a more extensive consultation is required to complete the selections for the project.

Consultation fee:

$350 one off fee which includes up to three appointments. This is great for clients that are building a new home and would like selections completed for their “Builders Pre-Start Appointment” this fee includes a Complete Selection Pack, which you can give to your builder to add to your contract specification. This written schedule helps create an accurate record for both parties.
